Students that complete all required work for the year with a grade of 70 or above are promoted. For students that do not meet these requirements, the parents, teacher, and principal will review options for remedial work. Firm Foundation Early Learning Academy does not engage in “social promotion.” Students are not allowed to repeat a grade unless there is a consensus between the school and parents, and in special cases, physicians. Parents of K-4 students will be informed throughout the school year of their child’s progress. Only with extenuating circumstances will a K-4 student be retained. This will be done with the consent of the parents and teacher.
